Worked in the UK for the US DoD from 1978 until retirement here in 2003.
Finally collected my ancient credits and got a BS/Management in 1991.
Earlier, worked for NASA on Apollo, Skylab and other (unmanned) projects.
One NASA location, Grand Canary Island, introduced me to my wife, who is from New Jersey! Married 40 years in June 2013.
Before that, I had four years touring with the USAF in "exotic locales". (Ahem!)
All of this has been glued together with periods of willful and sometimes gainful unemployment travelling and learning about people and places.
Now, I have grandkids to spoil rotten and a lot of rock & pop concerts to catch up on. Doing well at both.

I was a little nerd that nobody noticed. I didn't know about the "clubs" and nobody invited me, except for the Civil Air Patrol, which indulged my warlike inclinations with extra added flying time.
I tried to stay out of trouble and get good grades. Mostly successful at both.
Later, in the US Air Force, I took a battery of college equivalency exams that I later learned were among those used to set the bell curve for the similar exams for CLEP (College Level Exam Program). I began taking the occasional college course from 1965, as and when I was in a location that offered a college, finally buckled down in 1985, taking one course at a time with U. of Maryland here in England, plus numerous CLEP tests, graduating in 1991 with credits older than my classmates. That's about as funny as it gets.
